PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CHOOSING YOUR PREFERRED PET CREMATORIUM

At Pets Eternal, we believe that all animals (and their parents) should receive the highest level of care and compassion available. You should always feel confident about leaving your pet in our care, knowing that we are doing exactly what we have promised.

To achieve this there have to be certain standards and procedures that are reached each and every time that a pet is taken into care. Surprisingly, there is no governing body in Australia to oversee this, so it is up to the individual to comply.

Council regulations:  These require the registration of companies, and there are environmental considerations to adhere to. They DO NOT, however, provide checks on any facilities or daily operations which would guarantee individual cremations and dignified handling of pets.
Therefore, YOU need to ask the important questions when deciding which crematoria has the honour of looking after your precious pet.

Below are some of the questions that need to be asked – you may have many more –  so please always feel free to ask about anything you are concerned about…. our answers are in Italics

How do you guarantee that the remains returned to me are My pet, Only my pet, and All of my pet?
( We follow strict and thorough identity checks at ALL stages of the process… see our Crematorium Team Beliefs below)

Am I free to visit your facility at any time, without appointment, at any time during your cremating hours?
(Yes you are! We have a TRUE “open door” policy.)

Am I free to visit my pet once he/she has arrived at your premises, and spend time with them.
(You can! We have a welcoming showroom/chapel, in addition to a small memorial garden)

Can I have a choice of options? For example, urns, boxes engraving, locks of fur, pawprints or special requirements that may be individual to me.
(You can, and our wonderful team will be very happy to offer you assistance with your requirements)

Do you offer and on-site grief counselling service?
(Yes we do. When you have just lost a member of your “family”, this can be of great benefit)

Am I getting value for my money? Always check what is included in a service price and are there extra added costs anywhere. Remember cheapest is not always the best.
(We believe so. All our prices to you are fully inclusive, with no hidden extras.)

Do you pay a “finders fee” to the vets you service?
(No we do not… this can be detrimental to YOU, the client, as it can lead to an inferior service and product. We strongly believe that our service and integrity speak for themselves.)

Below are the beliefs that our crematorium team abide by at all time
Always imagine the owner of the pet is standing behind you and watching your every action. That way you will always carry out the service with care and dignity.
Always make sure the identification label stays with the pet, is attached to the machine when cremating and stays with the ashes. Never separate the label from the pet.
Always make sure the cremation chamber and ashes processors are cleaned thoroughly to collect all the remains before the next cremation or ashes preparation begins. There must be no mixing of remains.
Always work as if it is your first cremation and pay the same attention as you did then. There are no second chances-it has to be right first time.
